Growing Orchids for the Newbies

Growing orchids is challenging work for those flower lovers out there. It requires lots of patience and determination for you to be able to see your first blooms. There are variety of orchids that can be grown here since Philippines is a tropical country. But that does not mean that orchids have to be totally exposed to sunlight. Different growing methods are also practiced. One is the soft method, wherein the orchids are not exposed totally to the sun leaving it's leaves in full dark green color. The hard method, is done by totally exposing the plants to  large amount of sunlight, and the leaves will turn into a yellowish green in color. This is done by choosing an appropriate location where sunlight can penetrate faster on the leaves of the plants, no barriers that holds the plants from sunlight. According to some who uses this method, it gives more blossoms compared to the soft method. But there should always be a limitation to the amount of sunlight that the orchids must absorb. Too much of which will cause the leaves of the orchids to turn dry and then will fall off from the group. It will cause your orchids to die. That is why for newbies out there who loves to grow these such a lovely flower, care have to be observed. And if you're the kind of person who can't sustain lots of pressures and have no time to devote on growing these plants, then this kind of flower is not for you.

How to Create a Glamorous Garden of your Own

Many people love to plant different flowering plants of diffrent kinds in their yard. Everything that they had seen in the store that sells all those seedlings, they bought it ,then place it on flower pots and put it anywhere they wanted it to be placed. And every now and then, new additions to the plants will come, and just the same, leave it there. And within few months, you'll realize the disaster that you've just done to your own yard. Instead of creating a very beautiful garden with flowers, what results is a garden with full of plants cluttered in the yard, some even extends to the driveway. And you will took a lot of time and effort, arranging them again, and doing stuffs to make it look alright. Therefore, before taking your shovel and those pots, think first what you want your garden to look like. Create a layout of your garden and be sure to have ideas already on what plants you want to put in there. If you wish to plant those that crawls, make sure to put them near the fence or anywhere that they can get support. That way they won't create a mess. Knowing what is it that you want to have in your garden and what's the looks of your garden will be like if all the flowers will be blooming already will be a great way to create a flower garden that will always gets wow from your visitors and neighbors.

Why flowers are colorful?

  Do questions like this pop up in your mind once in a while as you wonder in awe with God's beautiful creations? I have often asked myself with this question when I was young until this age. I ask myself why flowers are unique, having it's kind bear dfferrent colors of it's flowers. Why do flowers are colorful? Why God did not make them to be all white, all lilacs or all red? The differences in the colors of this flowers makes Earth even moe beautiful. It does not make the area boring to look at. These flowers showered with vey colorful beauty makes it stands out among all plants which God created. The beauty of Nature will show at it's fullest when you look at this colorful flowers.  Maybe that is the reason why God created flowers to be full in colors with different shades so that men and women on Earth will have them as inspiration that with each one's differrences, we all make everyone's lives colorful, just like what flowers did.

My Flowers are not blooming?

  I envy the garden of a neighbor because her flowers are always in season. Meaning to say, every day of every year, her garden always have it's blooms, whether from her collection of orchids, to her roses, to her lilies and anthoriums, there are always blooms for her to see. And looking back at mine, it's none, very blunt and dry.What's her secret? I also watered mine. I put fertilizers, I sprayed insecticides, but why is it that it does not give the blooms that I wanted to see?

 Every day I observed my neighbor how she do it, and everytime I saw her doing the same as what I did, watering, pulling weeds, nothing extraordinary. But as I get to observed more, I observed something missing in what I do. And you know what? It's music. It's with a song that her flowers were always in blooms. It's her singing that influences her flowers to be inspired to show it's buds and in a few days opened into a very beautiful flower. I asked myself what's the connection of singing and music to the flower?

How about you? Do you have any idea of the connection of the two? Does music affects the plants to show it's flowers just like a baby in a mother's womb would be affected by the music listened to by the mother? We don't know, but laws of nature can never be bended.

  Chocolates and flowers are associated with each other specially during the courtship days. When your beau comes, you are given with the flowers, then comes the chocolate after. But which is preferable and which will the woman gives more importance, the chocolate or the flower? Different women have different answers for that.  But what's most important is that it's the thought that counts. The thought that he's thinking of you and had never forgotten you feels very good. The giving of the flowers or the chocolates is only the demonstration of how he really feels for you. It's a matter of understanding. But don't also get mistaken for this ruthless guys who will give you bundles of bouquets but in the end will just leave you frustrated and hurt.
